We are a Bulk Billing Medical Centre for all patients who hold a valid Medicare Card.

For all patients that DO NOT hold a Medicare Card, you will be Privately Billed and will have to claim your receipt to your respective Private Health Insurance Fund.   

TOTAL AMOUNT IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY OF CONSULT FOR ALL PRIVATE PATIENTS

REMINDER:

Our consultation times are specific related times, so please book appropriate longer consultations if required, to be fair to other patients.  

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS:

Telephone Consults are available for patients that have attended Schotters Road Medical Centre in person in the last 6 months (Medicare ruling) and only with their usual treating doctor.

 Repeat Prescriptions for regular medications for medical conditions such as; blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol are available 3 times via telephone consultation.  After you have obtained 3 prescriptions via telephone consultation you must then attend SRMC face to face for review of medications.

 RESULTS, Antibiotics, New or Review Mental Health Care Plans, New or Review Chronic Disease Management Plans CANNOT be done via telephone consultation. 

NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Please note that a Non-Attendance Fee is payable if a patient does not attend their appointment.

 Patients WILL be charged an out-of-pocket fee of $20 on Monday to Saturday or $40 on Sunday & Public Holidays.

 Cancellation of appointments must be a minimum of 2 hours prior to appointment.

 This policy is in place to stop any persistent misuse of our services.

PROCEDURES:

All procedures will attract an out-of-pocket fee including but not limited to the following items:

Cervical Screening, Implanon Removal / Insertion or both, Mirena Removals, Iron Infusions, Wound Management. 

 Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain consent prior to patients receiving treatment.

TAC / WORKCOVER

NEW PATIENTS will not be able to make a New or Existing TAC or Workcover Claim at our Medical Centre.

 Claims will only be accepted if the patient is a current and regular patient at our Medical Center and is known by their usual treating Doctor for more than 12months (1year).   

MEDICALS

External Medical Certificates, Medical Assessments, Forms and Reports will incur a fee per Dr discretion will be billed directly to the patient and payable on the day of consultation.

TRANSFER OF MEDICAL FILES

Transfer of medical files from our Medical Centre to another practice is $30 per file.
