Fee Schedule

Dear Patients, please note the following.

We are a Bulk Billing Medical Centre for all patients who hold a valid Medicare Card.

For all patients that DO NOT hold a Medicare Card, you will be Privately Billed and will have to claim your receipt to your respective Private Health Insurance Fund.   

TOTAL AMOUNT IS PAYABLE ON THE DAY OF CONSULT FOR ALL PRIVATE PATIENTS

REMINDER:

Our consultation times are specific related times, so please book appropriate longer consultations if required, to be fair to other patients.  

TELEHEALTH/ TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS:

Telehealth Consults are available for patients that have attended Schotters Road Medical Centre in person in the last 6 months (Medicare ruling) and only with their usual treating doctor.

Repeat Prescriptions for regular medications for medical conditions such as; blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol are available 3 times via telephone consultation.  After you have obtained 3 prescriptions via telephone consultation you must then attend SRMC face to face for review of medications.

RESULTS, Antibiotics, New or Review Mental Health Care Plans, New or Review Chronic Disease Management Plans CANNOT be done via telephone consultation. 

PSYCHOLOGIST CONSULTATIONS:

A valid Mental Health Care Plan and referral is required to access Medicare rebates.

Fees (Mixed Billing):
$220 per session
• Medicare rebate: $99 (approx.)
• Out-of-pocket (gap): $121
• Private (no Medicare): $220

• Concession/reduced fees: available at clinician’s discretion

Cancellation Policy:
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or non-attendance will incur a fee of $110 (50% of the consultation fee).

DIETITIAN CONSULTATIONS:

A valid GP referral and Care Plan (where applicable) is required to access Medicare rebates.

$120 (Initial consultation)

• Out-of-pocket (gap): $58.20
• Private (no Medicare): $120
• Concession/reduced fees: available at clinician’s discretion

$90 (Follow-up consultation)
• Medicare rebate: $61.80
• Out-of-pocket (gap): $28.20
• Private (no Medicare): $90
• Concession/reduced fees: available at clinician’s discretion

NON-ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Please note that a Non-Attendance Fee is payable if a patient does not attend their appointment.

Cancellation of appointments must be a minimum of 2 hours prior to appointment.

This policy is in place to stop any persistent misuse of our services.

PROCEDURES:

Only following procedures will incurr out-of-pocket fee: Cervical Screening, Implanon Removal / Insertion or both, Mirena Removals, Iron Infusions, Wound Management. 

Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain consent prior to patients receiving treatment.

TAC / WORKCOVER

We accept all NEW and existing workcover/TAC patients.

MEDICALS

External Medical Certificates, Medical Assessments, Forms and Reports will incur a fee per Dr discretion will be billed directly to the patient and payable on the day of consultation.

TRANSFER OF MEDICAL FILES

Transfer of medical files from our Medical Centre to another practice is $30 per file.
